You should reach out to Shane Dawson, not because there anything wrong with his body but with his own body image. Imagine if he got the opportunity to learn how to work out and use his body for weight lifting and function instead of just focus on how it looks.

Body positive to my is loving yourself for where you are, yet loving yourself into a better state of being. the includes eating healthy, and maybe even losing weight. I understand why one would want to step away from the superficial aspects of losing weight and dieting, it does, at times, can be belittling. But body positive for me is loving me enough to do what best foe me! and that being as healthy as possible physically and mentally. I have that she was bashed for whats she's doing.

I think both 'sides' can really miss what body positivity is, this comment section too. Body positivity is not a refusal to become healthier. But saying 'the real body positivity is taking care of your body to be healthier!', is JUST as false. Body positivity is not about being healthy or not being healthy. It's about striving to be healthier to be SEPARATE from the looks of your body. It's about feeling yourself and taking care of your appearance at every size. It's about accepting that sometimes you drop the ball and you can still be sexy. Being healthy is a part of life that we all strive to be better in, even stick thin people. But life happens, and for some people it is just not attainable to be healthy. And even then we can love ourselves and find ourselves desirable. Health is just a non issue, health isn't for everyone but feeling okay about yourself should still be. And some people who are super fit feel horrible about their body because they still lean more to 'fat' even though they hit the gym everyday and need body positivy, but it's not the only way to be body positive. You don't know someones story and in our own way, we ALL try.

Not being funny but as someone who has experienced an eating disorder first hand you can't just 'stop your eating disorder then and there' if you truly had an eating disorder you can't just stop it. No matter what happens.

There is a difference between dieting to loss weight and dieting to feel better about yourself. Like I know a skinny girl who eats like shit (candy, burgers, etc.) But started dieting because she felt kinda sick of how much junk food she eats and wanted to feel healthier not to loss weight she didn't care about that just wanted to feel better about what she eat and then myself who is really big started dieting to loss weight to feel better about my body. There is a difference

Like they don't want to cut back on food or go on walks or anything, but they also want to be on the varsity soccer team, instead of the JV team.

I really liked this but at the end I felt like the trainers did not understand the premise and brought in the size/appearance focus again and sounded anti-fat. Why not instead of saying "you lost 1inch here 1inch there" say "in core strength you went from a 30 sec plank to a 1 min plank, in arm strength you went from being able to press 10lb to 20. Thanks to including more fruits/veg in your diet your blood vitamin levels are now ideal and you reported needing less coffee to feel alert at work" Focus on what the client can do now, not how they look doing it. Especially if loosing weight is not stated as a goal!
